Fostering Happy Childhoods
Every child deserves a childhood filled with love, stability, and hope. In Florida, 15,441 children were in foster care and still need support on their journey to healing.
At Friends of Foster Children, we are dedicated to enriching the lives of children in foster care, supporting caregivers, and working toward family reunification whenever possible.
When you support a foster child, you’re giving them the chance to heal, grow, and break the cycle of hardship. With love, mentorship, and stability, these children can thrive and build a brighter future.
A Heart Bigger Than Circumstance: Tom’s Journey as an Unexpected Father
When life takes an unexpected turn, some people step up in ways they never imagined. Tom is one of those people. A young man with no children of his own, he never planned on becoming a full-time parent. But when his three young nieces needed a stable home, he didn’t hesitate—he became their rock, their protector, and ultimately, their father figure.

Join us for a special afternoon at the Legacy Scholarship Luncheon as we honor Congresswoman Lois Frankel for her dedication to education and the foster care community. Together we'll award scholarships to foster youth to support their bright futures!
$100,000 Grand Award
We are so excited to share that we were awarded the grant for the Family category for our proposal KINSHIP CARE & CONNECTIONS!
Over the past two years, we provided 379 kinship caregivers with a specialized curriculum, 847 children attended Foster Parent Night Out, and accumulated over 1,000 volunteer hours. Thanks to Impact 100 Palm Beach County, we were able to live out our mission of "Fostering Happy Childhoods" in south Palm Beach County!
